MEET THE TEAM
Trevor Cartner
CHAIRMAN
Trevor Cartner is a founder of Helios and has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He lead Helios’ expansion into Europe in 2006 having already established a successful joint venture with Segro in the UK. Helios is now a major developer and investor in the CEE region.
He is married with two children and in his spare time enjoys cycling and skiing. His ideal leisure activity involves walking his beloved dog Basil on a beach in Northumberland.
Zoe Thomson
DIRECTOR
Zoe qualified as a real estate solicitor specialising in development and has worked both in private practice and in-house for a UK based developer before making the move away from legal practice and into property development. She has experience working on complex mixed use regeneration schemes, major developments and strategic land promotion.
Outside of the office, Zoe’s passion for food takes her around the world travelling in search of the best dishes which she recreates back at home for friends and family. Zoe is also a keen skier, cyclist and diver and loves to spend her free time outdoors with her husband Harry and her son.
Zoe joined Helios in 2023 and is responsible for strategic development and overseeing all group legal services.
Natalie Lever
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Natalie joined Helios in 2019 as a Planning and Development Surveyor after completing her BA degree in Geography from Newcastle University. She completed a series of placements during a period of training including time at Savills, Ryder Architecture and Durham Council in a range of strategic planning, development and design assistant roles. Following completion of her Masters degree in Surveying (Real Estate) in 2022, Natalie was appointed Development Director with overall responsibility for planning.
In her spare time Natalie enjoys travelling and exploring new cities with her husband and is also an avid runner, now training for her third marathon.
Rob Elton
FINANCE DIRECTOR
Rob Elton has worked with Helios since 2008 as Financial Consultant. He is a qualified Certified Accountant with more than 20 years’ experience in industry the latter 10 years of which have been in property.
He is married with two children and in his spare time is a football coach. He also enjoys travelling with his family. His leisure time would be spent preferably organising a football match in Lanzarote where he has a second home.
Samantha Goodall
MANAGAMENT ACCOUNTANT
Samantha has joined Helios to provide accounting support to the team. She brings with her almost 30 years’ experience as an ACA chartered accountant. She has previously worked in practice in the Midlands working with a wide variety of clients and has a wealth of knowledge of businesses in the professional services sector. She supports the business in all areas of financial management.
In her spare time Samantha enjoys long, quiet walks with her Labrador anywhere she can appreciate the beauty of nature.
